THE STORY

THE STORY

Looking back now, many people did not own a television or a mobile device in the 1950s and 1960s. Back then, many children had to work to help take care of their family.  When their work was completed,  the children played games outside. The outdoor games the children played had simple rules and did not require a lot of equipment. This book is an easy read for children who enjoy reading about sports.

They Called Me Grandpa Ruley

This is a story of a mother and daughter who share their story about growing up in Connecticut. The mother grew up in the country. The mother left the country to raise her children in the city. The daughter became curious and discovered a mysterious box while playing in the attic. The blue box in the attic plays a critical role in providing closure to events that happened in the past.  The mother and daughter duet experienced, joy, happiness, confusion, and shame because they did not understand how to cope with the truth. They finally realized that the only ones who could understand how they felt were them.
